Certified Life & Success Coach
Consultant, Trainer, & Professional Development Presenter
My ideal client is any woman, man, boy, girl, or couple, that desire a compassionate, laid back, non-judgemental and well trained therapist to come along side them as they try to "get things back on track" in their life or relationship. Counseling is even for those who have healthy relationships, and they seek counseling to assure that their relationships stay healthy. As a husband, father, and professional, I understand the challenges that it could bring and the common challenges of balancing life and maintain your own mental health.
It is very common for me to work with youth & adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood/anger challenges, trauma, grief & loss, and weight challenges (those considering or who's had bariatric surgery). Also couples who experience communication concerns, financial concerns, infidelity, considering marriage, divorce, or infertility challenges.
I'm a Social Work Professor at the University of Michigan, Spring Arbor University, and Saginaw Valley State University. I am the owner and Clinical Director at McDowell Healing Arts Center. I have an Associates degree from Mott Community College, a Bachelors Degree in Family Life Education from Spring Arbor University and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the prestigious University of Southern California. I have also taken course work in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Autism through Ball State University and several Social Work Ph.D courses.
